BB Landscape was involved in this project from the design development stage all the way to implementation. We worked with Moat Island Glamping to design and produce planning drawings for the glamping site, its outdoor kitchen and toilet and shower block. An LVIA was undertaken alongside writing the design and access statement. After a successful planning application we implemented the landscape construction, including the natural swimming pool, native hedge planting, Norfolk reed and Osier Willow screen planting, bridge construction and the development of the car park. We were involved in dredging out the medieval lake and have been working on maintenance of the swimming pool and lake during summer months. 

This project was low impact in its design and construction. The use of recycled materials, and timber sourced from the wooded site created an ecologically sound construction process with a rustic natural finish. 

This glamping site was complimented by the Norfolk Wildlife Trust in their online magazine for its low impact approach and sensitivity to its ecological surroundings. The site has also featured in Vogue magazine and the Guardian Travel. Booking at Moat Island can be found here:
